We Build Our Coffins with Stars and Thread
We build our own coffins
A little more each day
The red thread grows tighter
The chains don't delay
Link by link
And yard by yard
I nail down the boards
I punch my card
We all flirt
With the tiniest notions
Self conclusion
In one simplified motion
Some accept it
Say that there is a reason
Others run
But for everything, there is a season
Seventy-six elements born in the stars
Our flesh and bone
The same materials
As mars
Bright yellow pin holes
In the blackest of night
It's from the stars that we're born
And with the stars that we'll die
The charcoal spots
On the boards of my coffin
Are where the stars fell
And showered above me
Once every so often
So cut my thread
And set me free
I'll fly away
And a star will die with me.
We build our own coffins
A little more each day
The red thread grows tighter
The chains don't delay

Grave of the Fireflies
I cried in the burning dark
as everything here burns in this park
I watched as my little sister burned
I watched as my whole world turned
Fireflies gathered to pick her up
While I could only gather her enough
In a little canister that used to be hers
In my hand that used to hold hers
I saw my sister for the last time
as I put her in the canister without a crime
I could have done better but I didn't
I didn't see how much it mean't
Now my sister has joined the ashes
while the lights I saw, flashes.
I sat among the bodies of boys
I sat among the children's toys
I cried for myself, my sister as well
but that is something anyone c

The Thing
I lay still in my bed,
Mr. Ted by my side,
And listen hard for the thing
That crawls around outside.
He'll start with the scratching,
It's always the same,
His claws carving the face
Of the wooden door frame.
Then he'll move onto the blood
Seeping beneath my door,
Dripping from the walls,
Covering the floor.
The wardrobe will squeak,
Those green eyes appear,
Voices will whisper
Dark words in my ear.
Their dead hands will tug
At the edge of my sheets
And insects will crawl
All over my feet.
I lay and wait
For their games to begin.
But tonight will be different,
I whisper with a grin,
Tonight I will show
Those monsters a scare.
They can come b

Scars
The mind forgets
But the heart remembers
The criss-crossing scars
Show like stars
The streaming tears
And haunting fears
Flowing pain
Of the slain
The cries of those
Who never screamed
Praying for life
Without a sound
The pleas for help
Never heard
The wishes that chance
Never granted
The pain might dull
And the mind forget
But the heart
Will always remember

ok, inspiration come from the songs "My boy builds coffins" and "Polygraph, Right Now!" idea introduced by a theory from Earth Science Class, and a line from the bible. A line from the play "A Christmas Carol" and this inc ludes red thread references. Enjoy
